Pure Africa is the marketing agent and Pure Travel is the licensed booking agent for all tours and services contained in this website, we promote and sell quality African tours and services on behalf of an Australian intermediary with direct and established relationships with ground operators.

All information and prices contained in this website are correct at the time of submission. Changes may have occurred beyond our control due to a number of factors including currency fluctuations, tour content, standard of services, airfares and airline schedules. Please check with Pure Africa prior to finalising your booking and paying deposits to ensure all information you have is correct.

Reservations

To confirm a reservation, a booking form must be completed and a deposit received.

A deposit of 30% is required to secure the reservation and final payment is due 50 days prior to departure. If a reservation is made within 60 days prior to departure then full monies must be received prior to confirmation.

Deposits

A 30% deposit is required at the time of making a booking. Some tours require higher deposits to meet the tour operators’ booking conditions. You will be made aware of this at the time of booking.

If booking the Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari you will be required to pay 100% of the tour upfront.

Late Booking Fee

A late booking fee of $60 will be levied against any booking received within 14 days prior to departure. Plus full monies must be received, prior to the booking being confirmed.

Amendment/Transfer Fee

Should you wish to amend your booking or transfer your booking to another departure date, you should notify us in writing and an automatic minimum charge of $50 will be levied, plus any cancellation charges applicable.

Departure Taxes and Airfares

All departure taxes are an additional cost and not included in the website prices and are subject to change without notice.

Cancellations and Refunds

Should you need to cancel a reservation please notify us in writing. Cancellation charges will take effect from the date of receipt of your written cancellation. All monies will be refunded less incurred costs as follows:

More than 60 days prior to departure – loss of non-refundable deposit

Between 60 – 30 days prior to departure – 75% of cancellation fee

Less than 30 days prior to departure – 100% cancellation fee

The non-issuance of an invoice or the non-payment and and/or non-receipt of a deposit will not exempt passengers from those cancellation charges.

Minimum Stay Booking Fee

As we use specialist tour operators, there is an additional booking fee of $30 per service which does not constitute a package such as overnight hotel reservations and car hire reservations. We will therefore not normally accept any booking under 5 nights. Exceptions are at our discretion.

Insurance

Medical costs can be very expensive. We strongly recommend that you purchase appropriate travel insurance for full duration of your tour, at the time you pay your deposit. Pure Africa and it’s tour operators will not accept responsibility for loss of deposit or full payment, loss or damage to baggage and personal items including camera equipment, personal injury and illness, medical expenses and/or cancellation of your trip due to circumstances beyond our control.

If you do not purchase travel insurance, you will not be able to claim for any cancellation charges, medical costs, repatriation costs and other expenses that may arise. We do not take any responsibility if you choose not to take out a policy.

Special Note

Should a tour price increase after a deposit has been received due to circumstances beyond our control – including currency fluctuation, air fare surcharges, fuel surcharges – then any increases up until the date of departure are to be paid by the passenger. If such increases are unacceptable, the passengers may cancel their booking but are still liable to pay any cancellation charges imposed in any way.

Consumer Claims

Should you encounter any problems on your holidays it is always better to try and solve it directly with the supplier in Africa. If this is not possible and you wish to lodge a complaint, please do so in writing within 14 days of completing your travel arrangements.

Government Warnings

It is our recommendation that all travellers thoroughly read the Australian Government Advisory website www.smarttraveller.gov.au – enabling you to make well-informed decisions about whether, when and where to travel. Pure Africa/Pure Travel and its suppliers do not accept liability for injury, damage, delay, loss or additional expenses incurred directly or indirectly from any events that may occur subsequent to any government warnings.

Responsibility

Completion of our booking form is an acknowledgement that the passengers have read, understood, and accepte the Terms and Conditions. Pure Africa is a the marketing agent for the travel agency, Pure Travel and it is not a hotelier, not does it own accommodation, coaches or aircraft. The company also does its best to make sure all services and hotels are satisfactory. All bookings with the company are subject to the Terms and Conditions limitations of liability imposed by our suppliers. As some suppliers may limit or excluded liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay, loss and damage to baggage, passengers may be required to complete a release of indemnity form prior to commencing their arrangements. All tickets and vouchers are issue subject to the Terms and Conditions under which our suppliers provide their services. The terms of your contract are those Terms and Conditions which the other suppliers provide their service.

Pure Africa does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions and/or default whether negligent or not of those coach operators, hotel companies, airlines or other persons providing services in connection with your tour. Pure Africa does not accept liability for injury, damage, delay, loss or additional expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to events beyond our physical control including war, civil unrest, acts of God, Unusually severe weather, acts of Government/Authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery and equipment.

Website Pricing

Considerable care has been taken to compile the information contained in this website and prices are based on the current exchange rate at the time of posting prices. Unforeseen circumstances, currency fluctuations, air fare and fuel surcharges may necessitate changes to itineraries and costs, of which you will be informed as soon as possible. All prices in this website should be used as a guideline only.

Pure Africa, Pure Travel and its tour operators cannot be held responsible for any changes and should a tour price increase after a deposit has been received, then any increases up until the date of departure are to be paid by the passenger. If such increases are unacceptable, the passengers may cancel their booking but are still liable to pay any cancellation charges imposed in any way.

It’s important for you to read and understand these Terms and Conditions prior to completing a booking form and paying your deposit.
